There is no FREE lunch out there. If some one tells you that you do not need any money to make a profit, you better think twice. Any business is an investment, any investment cost money. Any business needs advertising, any advertising cost money. Advertisements generate leads, leads produce money. There are ways to promote the business without putting any advertising budget but it takes time. Time is MONEY. Any businesses out there need to have advertising budget to attract customers. There is no different in Internet MLM business.

2- Hard Work Generates Money

Internet marketing is not about overnight success. It is a real business that needs substantial degree of hard work to become successful. We have to find company that can provide great quality or value to customer, once customers see those benefits (quality), they will in turn join the program and hence generate income for you. Talking To Yourself Again? So What Are You Saying?

We all have Self Talk.

So what is Self-Talk?

Simply put Self-Talk is the running dialogue in your head. It’s the words you use to describe the experiences in your life.

It’s the words you use when you have challenges. It’s the words you use when you’re speaking to others.

Hmmmmm sounds like your daily vocabulary.

Look you must realize the power your words command and then choose them wisely.

Anthony Robins said in his book Awaken The Giant Within. “People with an impoverished vocabulary live an impoverished emotional life; people with rich vocabularies have a multitude palette of colors with which to paint their experience, not only for others, but for themselves as well”.

Many of us don’t realize the words we habitually choose to use effect how we communicate with ourselves and therefore what we experience.

Words are very powerful, they can help or heal. They can make us cry or laugh. They can create or destroy. They can comfort or cause pain.

Words create emotions, and those words create action, and from those actions your life is formed. Most of your beliefs are created by words, which means they can also be changed by words.

Simply choosing new words to describe how you’re feeling or how you experienced an event can instantly change the emotional experience.

If you describe a fantastic experience as being “Ok”. That experience is now diminished and flat because of your limited use of words.

You’re in control of your life, so you need to consciously evaluate and keep improving the content of your vocabulary to make sure it’s pulling you in the direction you desire instead of a direction you want to avoid.

Here’s a great example I heard from Anthony Robbins after hearing him speak about this subject at one of his live seminars. After that I re-evaluated my Self-Talk (years ago). And it changed my life BIG TIME!!!!.

Quote: “If you’re in the habit of saying you “hate” things– you “hate” your hair; you “hate” your job; you “hate” having to do something. Do you think this raises the intensity of your negative emotional state than if you used a phrase like “I prefer something else”? End quote.

Change the phrase from “I hate” to the phrase “I prefer”.

Could it be that simple?

“I’d prefer an new car”, I’d prefer an new hairdo” I’d prefer a new job”, I’d prefer new clothes”. “I’d prefer to do something else”.

The intensity of those statements dropped big time because you used different words.

I know this for a fact. If you simply change your habitual vocabulary, and these would be the words you consistently use to describe your life and your emotions.

If you change your habitual vocabulary you can instantaneously change how think, how you feel and how you LIVE!!

I really want to drive this home to you. You’re Self-Talk that you’re using right now is determining your destiny. Think about that for a second (maybe a little longer). Your words are shaping your beliefs and impacting your actions.

Much of where you are in life right now is due to your Self-Talk. So if you’re using words that are disempowering. CHANGE THEM!!! to words that will empower you.

How do you know what you’re Self-Talk is? Simple really. When an event or challenge happens in your life how do you react, what do you say? If you’re saying it out loud you’re probably saying it to yourself, and vice versa.

Here are some examples, and these are from many of the people I speak to on a daily basis. It may be different for you.

When something happens a challenge in your life, do you say to yourself?

“Why does this always happen to me?” or “Why did this have to happen now?”

Are your answers something like this?

“It happened because I’m not lucky”.

“It happened because I’m not smart enough”.

“It happened because I wasn’t prepared”.

Poor choice of words will give you a poor answer. What if you used words like this when a challenge comes into your life?

“What can I learn from this challenge so I don’t repeat it?”

What’s funny about this challenge and how can I have fun solving it?”

You see better words produce a better question. A better question will produce a better answer.

Pretty simple but so powersful.

Here’s a perfect example of how Self-Talk will empower you. Let’s say someone is having a bad day, and you have the joy of running into this person.

And this person is more then happy to piss all over your day because they feel it’s their duty to ruin yours and everyone else’s day. You know the saying “If I’m having a bad day everybody else is going to”.

I DON’T THINK SO!!!

Because of my Self-Talk nobody gets to decide how my day is going to be but me. So my Self-Talk to that person is “I will not get involved in other people’s drama and I refuse to allow negativity into my life”.

If that’s my self-talk do you think I’m going to have a bad day just because someone else is? If someone is so hell bent on having a bad day let them, but you don’t have to.

Why would you want to be a passenger in your own life and allow people to determine what you’re going to experience? Take control of your life right NOW!!

Here are some samples of different words you can use to start changing your vocabulary:

Go from Depressed to Not on top of it

Go from Failing to Learning

Go from I hate to I prefer

Go from Irritated to stimulated

Go from Overwhelmed to Busy

Go from Stressed to Energized

Go from Rejected to Overlooked

You get the idea.

Now create empowering phrases you say to yourself each day. Say your Self-Talk each morning and during the day (and when ever you need to) and before you go to bed each night.

If all you do is fill you mind with empowering words and phrases you’ll attract everything you want in life. (You’re still going to have to work for things, but you’ll be working smart not hard)

To get you kick started here is some of my daily Self-Talk:

“Helping people achieve their goals and dreams using no agenda and expect nothing in return. I will achieve all my goals and dreams”. This one was inspired from Zig Ziggler.

“I will not get involved in other people’s drama and I refuse to allow negativity into my life” Wow how does that set up my day compared to other people?

“Being truthful each day is the best gift I can give myself and others”. I think the boy scouts are onto something.

Here is what my team says about our business:

“We are building the largest most profitable, highest retention organization ever built in the history of network marketing easily and consistently through education and teamwork” Enough said on that one.

Before I end this there is one more thing. Words create pictures in our mind. People with great memories use pictures to remember things.

You’ve heard of athletes using visualization. A runner sees himself/herself getting out of the blocks perfectly, sees themselves straightening up and getting into full stride perfectly, they see themselves crossing the finish line first and powerfully.

My success in life and in network marketing is largely due to my Self-Talk and visualization (yes and hard work). Do you think anyone becomes successful if they are always saying, “I’ll never achieve anything”, “It’s to hard”?

The difference between successful people and non-successful people is, successful people do what other people won’t do. THINK ABOUT IT!!!!

You’re Not Linking, They’re Not Coming!

Large companies tend to spend huge amount of money on the web. They put in so much with banner ads and did all they can not to mention a single external link on their site. They’re really missing it big time.

A link is anything that mentions your web address on another. It can be a straightforward www text link, a banner or a button. It’s getting hard these days to be in the top 10 on the search engines but most search engines base their position of your site on their listing by the way you appear on most sites. Well, once you give something, it will all return back to you. Why not give your link? Trade links with them and they’ll will all come.

So if you’re hesitant to give away links, you’re missing a lot of traffic. On traditional marketing you make every effort not to mention something about your competitors, but on the web, you’ll need to link to the same kind, meaning your competitors. For example, if you’re on web design business like me, you would trade links with them and appear alongside in the search engine. The secret is linking. Now the question is who’s among the famous web that contains millions of links: Altavista, Lycos, and Hotbot. It’s simply because they took the time to link.

They are basically two types of links: reciprocal and non-reciprocal.

Reciprocal links are links based upon an informal agreement between site owners to display each other’s links on each one. The agreement will last as long as each one continues to reciprocate or return the favor of the link. It can be a week, a month or a year.

There are ways to do a reciprocal link and they are as follows:

1. Web Rings – are small group of sites that revolves around a certain button or icon displayed on each participating sites. Each one takes turn randomly in displaying a link from different sites. 3. Link Button – sized at 88 x 96 pixels and is usually animated. It signifies that your site is either “Powered By”, “Managed By” or “Networked Sites of.” Others runs each links on a contest, if you win you get 500+ additional exposures. go here: Nabaza.com Directory

4. Text Links – This one is easy. I see webmasters now are creating multiple web sites that are in a series of links to each one. You can also reference your links in this manner: www.Nabaza.com/search/

It’s a good and ethical way of referring a web site to anyone if you like yourself to be credited. You can create any reference id you like as long as there’s no space inserted.

5. Self-replicating Links:

Above links will take you to a sign-up page that will lead you to create your unique URL in a snap. It implements the principle of (MLM) multi-level marketing which I have discussed in my other article: “Multi-Level Marketing on the web” and also it would be an honor for me if you join me as your upline.

6. Award Links – Award-giving web sites that promises their icon without any cash equivalent. It’s a good way to decorate your site and boast of your excellence.

7. Ad Swapping – These are for those who are writing and publishing their own newsletters. It’s an agreement or kind of payment that if you accept my ad for free I’ll display your ad as well. I accept ad swapping from publishers.

Non-reciprocal links, on the other hand, can be a good source of hits for your site as well.

You need to actively encourage your visitors to link to your site by giving them instructions on how to do it. On your site, provide a “How to Link to Your site?” page. Create banners, buttons, or a cgi script that will make their life easy. On your part, you have to constantly develop and maintain a good site and give a reward to someone who will link to you, one example is this:

If your site is really excellent in design, very useful and is always updated; chances are, people will really link to your site even without your knowledge. On my site, I accomplish this actively by constantly submitting articles like the one’s you’re reading. Also, most importantly, is you religiously submit your site to search engines and directories. Advantages of Linking:

If you do this one, you’ll be surprise at the extra traffic that links from other sites can generate.

Whenever, I do a search on any search engine, I see sites that always refer back to my site. These sites have subscriber base of 140,000 and up. Thanks Newslinx.

You need not encourage duplication but you need to be linked.

How to do it?

Send individual emails, not mass mails. I won’t exchange links with sites that sends out an email containing a header: Hello, Fellow webmaster or one that has a mail extractor signature. I need someone on that same category. If someone doesn’t take his time in writing me a customized email then it’s not that important.

1. Target

I need competitors that will become co-op sites with me. I know that I’ve gathered everything essential to the web but there are sites out there that have gathered even more so I need to exchange links with them to complement my site. Don’t be afraid to lose your visitors, if your content isn’t good enough to get them to return. You never really “had” them in the first place.

2. Do unto others what you want them to do to you.

Be polite in your e-mails. Don’t assume that you know it all when it comes to a particular site. Treat everyone as your friend and potential customers. Who knows? It might be even before you finish your personalized email, someone already linked to you. Give and it shall be given to you.

3. Dedicate a place for all links.

Not unless you want to fill up whole first page with links and exceed that 24K ideal file size, you can have a whole page of links that will accommodate all of them. Aside from your FFA page, create a page for them complete with categories and description. Tell them politely that their link will go to this special page just for them. For example, I have FFA page, Merchant Links, and Premium Links. Premium Links section is the page intended for reciprocal link.

4. Don’t associate with bad sites.

Protect your reputation online and do exchange links with the same category as your site. If you exchange links with someone different from yours, you might end up getting customers that will be dissatisfied with your page. However, you can still accommodate them in your “Web Directory” or “FFA” page.

Every day, more and more people are becoming ever increasingly discontented with the daily rat race, and direct their interest to starting a home-based business.

For most people, once this threshold is reached, the desire to start working from home is so overpowering that they become vulnerable to making poor choices in the opportunity they eventually embrace.

As a result, most fail miserably, and it’s not usually through lack of determination, but several other reasons that can be responsible for their dream turning into a nightmare. It is the dream of staying at home, and enjoying the kids growing up, of working your own hours, of extra money, and of financial freedom. A worthy goal.

In the past, there have been many work at home opportunities banded about. Multi-level business opportunities selling everything from personal care, cosmetics, jewellery, hardware, to vitamins and even electrical goods. There have been the mail order catalogue opportunities, and the party plans. These opportunities have made people money, and the rare few wealthy, but they have also cost a lot of people a great deal of wasted time, money and effort.

One of the reasons is inexperience. People have spent years developing the qualifications and skills for their ‘day job’, but expect to start a home business and become wealthy almost overnight. It’s a well known fact that over 50% of all new small businesses fail in the first year, and 95% fail within the first five years, and we’re not talking about home-based business here, we’re talking about all small businesses.

Inexperienced people join MLM’s, (good companies like Amway), while others join money making schemes after attending a meeting somewhere, and yet all these people expect to succeed within a few months and become wealthy. What they don’t realise is that it takes time to succeed, and as with any business, investment.

Financial investment and time investment.

If you go by facts and figures, the statistics are against them. They are against any new small business venture, but especially against some home-based opportunities, because the very nature of the business has people working long hours, often door to door for little profit. People end up burned out, tired, frustrated, and quit feeling very guilty because they are told such things as ‘Winner’s never quit’.

Why become part of a work at home opportunity that is like a regular job?

Another reason people fail is because they are told it is only temporary. If you build your network, and duplicate yourself they are told, you will soon have enough volume that you won’t have to work as hard, and you will have a recurring monthly income. So some people plod on and on becoming more and more disillusioned as their people quit after a few months. It’s usually the people who have some of the necessary skills already that manage to forge ahead, and unfortunately many of those who haven’t, just haven’t the time or the money to gather those skills. Some will make it, and some will excel, but the majority of them will just quit.

When you base your future income on the efforts of others, it’s a two edged sword. It cuts both ways, but like any sword it usually cuts better on the down stroke.

Another reason that many businesses fail is they offer products that nobody really wants. To put it another way, there is not a strong market for the product. John Paul Getty’s formula for making money was, find a product that is needed, find a product that is consumable, find a product that is affordable, find a product that is guaranteed to work, and then sell it. If you were selling cold soft drinks, would you rather sell them on a cold winter’s day or on a sunny hot summer afternoon at the beach?

If JP Getty were alive today, I guess he would add another qualification, that the people behind the product or service have a proven track record of success, and are not simply out to take people’s money and run.

The problem is many of the home-business opportunities out there today that are not so good, have promotions that sound every bit as good as anyone else’s. If you are looking for a home-based business opportunity, decide what you want from it, and then examine it carefully. Check with the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, and the internet scam warning web sites for information. Run a Google search for ‘company name + scam’. Go to www.mlmwatchdog.com and check there.

Be extremely wary of any opportunity that wants a large purchase up front. Many of these opportunities show you cheques of hundreds of dollars earned within a few weeks to entice you to join. In many cases it is because the new member has been persuaded to pay a large amount up front for a never to be repeated introductory offer.

Be wary of money schemes on the internet that appear to be just that. They spring up on a weekly basis, just as fast as the authorities can shut them down. Many people have invested reasonable sums of money and watched their online earning grow, only for the company to be shut down before they can get their money out.

So are all opportunities set to fail?

Not at all.

There are many ways to make money from home, but perhaps more now than ever, the best way forward is still the Internet.

Why?

Because the business of Internet Marketing can be taught. There are many successful people online who have started with nothing and built businesses turning over from many thousands of dollars monthly, to millions of dollars yearly over a decade or more.

vIn choosing the right MLM company to build your long term executive level residual income you must look closely at the company management, the companies timing and its products. Another very important aspect that is crucial to your long term success is the company’s compensation plan. In fact, it is imperative that you understand your compensation plan.

People often ask “What is the best compensation plan?”

The best compensation plan allows average people to get above average results. The best compensation plan requires the least amount of people to make the most amount of money. It should allow the average person to become profitable in the shortest amount of time. It has to be a fair plan, otherwise the business is not sustainable.

Let’s say that all companies pay out 50 cents to the distributors for every dollar of volume that they generate. How would most companies distribute that payout?

Most companies would pay 5 out of the 50 cents to the lowest ranked distributors. That is, the distributors who are producing the lowest volume, which by the way, are the vast majority. They are ninety-six percent (96%) who are “part timers”.

They would pay out 15 of the 50 cents to the middle ranked distributors. These would be people on a full time “middle class” income. But, they are a very small percentage compared to the low volume distributors. Then the final 30 cents would be paid to the small handful of top ranked distributors.

Is that a fair compensation plan to you? Hardly.

This sort of plan would make the people who are working hard to build their business in their spare time feel like complete failures.

These plans are designed to produce a few MLM megastars who rake in millions off the back of the rest who get virtually nothing. This is so that at company conventions, the company executives can hand the megastar a big fat check and tout to their audience “You can achieve this lifestyle too, if your dream is big enough!”

But guess what, showing big checks and making big claims is illegal. There are MLM companies that do this. But it’s against the law. It’s called enticement, often used by unruly scam artists to get people into their deal.

I once heard a story about some guy who made a presentation to a group of people about a travel deal. All he did for his presentation was open up his laptop computer and log into to his backoffice to show them how much he had earned for the month.

Everyone joined, because they obviously thought he was for real and they could achieve the same result. That’s why it is against the law, because anybody can wave a false check for any amount of money to entice gullible people into a deal.

Now a fair compensation plan should pay the lowest ranked distributors, the vast majority who are actually working hard to build the business, the most amount of money. A fair compensation plan would be exactly the other way around.

It would pay the lowest ranked distributors 30 out of the 50 cents, the middle ranked distributors 15, and the top king pin distributors 5 cents.

Over the long term, even the best “sponsor monsters” who can create huge organizations in a matter of months, can’t be successful unless their downline are getting rewarded fairly for their efforts. People will vote with their feet and the business will fall apart.

It’s not that hard to figure out your pay plan. All you have to do is dig out a calculator and see how many people you need on regular autoship to make $10,000 a month. The less the number distributors, the fairer the pay plan.

If an MLM compensation plan does not reward the part timers, eventually the top distributors will fail too.

This article is basically a list of things to do when getting started in multilevel marketing or direct sales as well as things some might forget about once they’ve been around for a while. Basic things to keep in mind when getting started in your home business:

•Write down your short-term and long-term goals, this would be your “why” you are doing the business.

•Set up an action plan as far as how you will do the business.

•Write down the days and hours you will do the business and stick to that schedule. If you fail to plan you plan to fail.

•Order business cards if your business will be “belly to belly”. It is vary rare to find a business that is strictly on the Internet so you’ll most likely want to order them. Leave your business cards everywhere you go!

•Make sure you have high-speed Internet and unlimited long-distance, remember you are in business.

•Stay plugged into your company’s live training calls, opportunity calls, meetings and conventions. You never know which one will be life-changing. This is also where you will learn how to successfully do your business.

•Use your product/service. Become a product of the product; it will build your belief! Do you think Ronald McDonald eats at Wendy’s? I think not!

•Make your list of contacts, every single person you know that is breathing. Do not pre-judge.

•Approach your contacts with common sense and find out how they are doing and decide if the timing is right to mention your business. If they have a need that your business can fill then go for it. If no need, don’t mention your business.

•Do something every day to move your business forward, talk to anyone and everyone.

•Familiarize yourself with your company’s web site but don’t spend too much time on this. You will learn, as you go; do not get into analysis paralysis!

•Avoid negative people and do not let anyone steal your dream. Those negative people will “infect” you faster than you can affect them.

•Keep in close contact with your sponsor and cross-line teammates; this will “keep you in the game.”

•Invite everyone you talk to attend your company conference calls and business meetings as a favor. Just so they can see what you are doing in case they ever think of someone who would need what you have.

•Use your sponsor to do 3 way calls and edify your sponsor to your prospect before you call them. They will do the same to you when you get them on the phone. This helps the prospect respect what you have to say.

•If you attend meetings or calls, always introduce your guests to the leaders. This is another chance to build respect and create that feel good atmosphere. Let your sponsor do the talking, do not interrupt

•Build a Relationship with your people over the phone and in person and take yourself out of the picture.

•Use the training calls, web sites & meetings already in place to plug your new people into. You make money on prospecting, not training. Use the tools to leverage yourself and maximize your time.

•Always set goals – keep an eye on how you are doing with them and shoot to have your goals accomplished by the timeline you assigned. If you miss one or two no big deal BUT write them down, no matter how small you make think they are i.e. “I will make 10 calls a day”, “I will do one piece of business a week”, etc. Keep aiming for your goals.

•Work harder on YOURSELF than you do on your job; constantly work on your personal growth/personal development (books, CD’s, seminars, training calls, and major events). As the great Jim Rohn says, “Study, practice and teach!”

•Help your teams have success by doing the same thing I did with you and share this checklist!

You see, with thousands of MLM companies in the industry, there lies a wide range of different payment structures and compensation plans. There are ‘so called’ top MLM companies that pay $10,000 per Month for having around 5000 people in a downline, while there are other companies that pay the same $10,000 per Month for having only 350 people in a downline.

So, you may ask, “Why would one join a company in which one would have to Acquire 10-15 times more people in a downline to make the same residual income as another company? Why would one want to work 10-15 times harder for the same desired income?”

I believe There are a multitude of reasons for this, but feel that the two most important ones are:

1- They don’t understand their own compensation plans.

2- They get a watered-down version of the compensation plan from their upline or sponsor.

Now, it is no secret that in the network marketing industry, most compensation plans are extremely difficult to comprehend.

So, why do MLM companies purposely make them confusing?

I’m sure if MLM companies had simpler compensation plans…this would unhinder people’s apprehension in joining that company?

When a MLM company has simpler compensation plans, distributors gain more confidence in explaining the compensation plan to their downline & prospects…therefore taking action faster in promoting that company product and/or compensation plan.

But there is good news!

The good news is there is a way of detecting & diagnosing a poor compensation plan from an excellent compensation plan.

There is a way of determining how much you can, will and do make with any company behind any confusing compensation plan…behind all the smoke & mirror tricks…behind any scam…behind whatever!

And this is done by asking one simple question and using this one simple-secret-formula:

First, the question:

-How many people would I need in my downline to earn $10,000 per month in residual income?

Second, the formula which consists of 2 parts… Part 1 – Take the (average dollars spent on autoship) multiplied by (average commission % for 5 levels deep) = Avg. Money earned per customer…

Part 2 – You then divide your (desired income per Month) by (Avg. money earned per customer) = Amount of people needed in your downline.

So, to give you an example – lets say that we have company-XYZ, with an average Monthly autoship at $150.00, and company-XYZ pays 7% on the first level, 4% on the 2nd level, and 3% on levels 3 thru 5. This would bring you an average commission of 5%.

By plugging in these #’s in the 1st part of the formula would bring you to a result of $7.50 – as seen below.

Part 1 – ($150.00) x (6%) =($7.50 earned per customer)

Now to derive the final result, we need to incorporate part 2 of the equation.

You can plug in any figure for (desired income per Month). In this demonstration, I’m going to use $10,000.

We then plug in this data for the final result:

Part 2 – $10,000 / $7.50 = 1,333

*Conclusion*

In Company-XYZ, one would need to sign up 1,333 people in their downline to earn $10,000 per Month in residual income.

You can utilize this formula to work with any and all compensation plans…Matrix, Binary, Stair-Step, aussie-2-up, etc…

This powerful formula can be utilized in 2 ways….

1- You can use it if your in the market in looking for top mlm company.

2- You can also use it in evaluating your own company to find out how many people you would need in your downline to earn your desired Monthly income.

Now, keep in mind that compensation plans aren’t everything.

There are many other elements that can make up a top mlm company,such as having a remarkable product, proven system, fair policies & procedures, an excellent upline, and a company with good track record.

This is also known in the industry as the ’5 Pillars To Success’.

So, make sure you do the extensive research before deciding from the ‘so-called’ top mlm companies when many are found to be amongst the majority of network marketing scams.
