How many times have you heard of someone leaving their corporate job only to find out that they have started their own business that is extremely lucrative?  They decided to make the changes from the confines of a cubicle or corner office and work on their own.  And you look at them and wonder where do you get ideas for your own business?

Some of these sites are free and some of them offer their services for a small fee.  Most of them ask for fees that are reasonable and they tend to back their work because of it.  You can also find assistance from individuals who are freelancers or consultants.  Sometimes their fees may be a little higher than businesses that do this for a profit or they maybe lower it just depends.  Either way they are available to assist you when your ideas for your own business begin to take shape.

There are many, many ideas that you can use for your business, but be sure to pick ideas that you can do comfortably.  Don’t take on a challenging business right away.  Take baby steps, start off small and then grow your business ideas after you have gained a little experience.  Be patient with yourself and with your business.  Sometimes businesses don’t take off right away like hoped.  Don’t beat yourself up about it.  Remember that businesses don’t happen overnight.  A lot of planning and preparation goes into them before they are up and running.  And many of these currently successful business owners failed one, two maybe even three times.  But they kept at it and because of their determination, they are now not only successful in their business ventures, but are able to provide some pretty good advice.

It appears that our country may be in for some hard times ahead of us.  Every time you turn on the news, you hear of another company laying off employees or closing its doors because it’s not making a profit.  You figure that you might want to see if you can locate a job or two that doesn’t require you to work for anyone else but yourself.  So you decide you are going to sign up with a work at home company and earn some income that way.

So you’ve signed up and now what?  You understand that you get business from the work at home company based on bids that you win.  But you are having the hardest time making that happen. So when you look at your profile if all you see is your name, company name and rate per hour, then I can tell you now, this is probably why you haven’t gotten a single bite.  You’re profile is like your resume when you working with a work at home company.  This is your marketing tool.  So this is where you would put all your accomplishments.  Where you would show samples of your work or post your URL for any other sites that you have to show as samples.  This is where you talk about you, you, and more you.  Your profile for most people is your resume.  You see the individual that hires you can’t see you face to face so they have to go on what you offer them.  Most of that information will come from your profile and if it’s a good one, then you are more than likely looking at your conduit for a lot of business.  So take a minute and update your profile.  It will be well worth it in the long run. With all the technology around today, there are many ways that individuals can have a work at home computer job.  Let’s think about it.  Now a day if you contact your computer company for some type of assistance, you are generally sent to a call center first.  Well guess what, the call center is more than likely hundreds of thousands of miles away.  As a matter of fact the call center is probably in a completely different time zone.  Guess what that means?  It means that your computer support person isn’t at a local location waiting for your call.  He or she is probably somewhere like India or Bangladesh.  That’s right.  And you thought the guy with that really cool British accent was just someone who came here to the US and found a second job.

Or how about when you go on line and you are having problems with your laptop or PC and you click that little button that allows you to connect right away with someone in Technical Support for your PC.  In two seconds they have popped up and have responded to you.  And you’re thinking wow, what a great computer company I bought from.  It’s 2:30 a.m. and they have a team working.  Guess what, it’s probably not 2:30 a.m. from the call center or support center.  It’s more than likely 2:30 p.m. and they aren’t anywhere in the United States of America.  They’re in another country at least three time zones away.

Ah yes, things that make you say “hmmm?” right?  Well guess what if they can do it, so can you.  And the difference is that you can work out the comforts of your own home for or on someone else’s computer too.  While larger companies tend to have the ability to outsource their work at home computer jobs to call centers in other countries.  You will find that every now and then one of these companies will stay local.   And when they do, that presents the perfect opportunity for you.  So you can work at home on someone’s computer or answer someone’s computer question around your schedule; which could be at 2:48 p.m. or at 3:55 a.m.

Pay attention to all the information on the sites, especially the fine print and make sure that you if your gut says no, you should probably listen. Your instincts will never lead you astray.

I happened to be looking through several sites online that offer work at home jobs.  I often like to look to see what’s available in the world of jobs to work on at home.  Well after reading through several sites and then cross referencing them with rip off reports or scams, I was wondering if I had dreamt up the fact that there is reliable work at home jobs out there.

I mean it can be down right depressing sometimes.  I read through several different sites reporting this one particular program that offered you the ability to make money as soon as they signed up.  This particular site was recommended by another site that was supposed to be policing all the other sites and named this particular site as reliable.  Well after what looks like several 100 people paid about $200 to sign up and start working, they found out that the site isn’t so reliable after all. 

There were stories of signing up and then not being able to contact the company again, or not receiving the promised product for the individuals to start using to work.  This company’s website all of a sudden was unavailable.  I think the most convincing item was a copy of a supposedly live chat with a potential sign up person.  Bottom line, the chat wasn’t live and the fact that the system was auto generating the replies which weren’t answering any of the questions, seemed to prove that it was truly a scam.  So much for reliable work at home.

There is reliable work at home jobs out there, though.  I know that it seems discouraging when you start finding all these jobs that promise to be reliable and they aren’t.  They promise to provide you with instant money and endless work.  Well the real reliable work at home jobs will provide you with the opening to a lot of work.  These jobs are legitimate and tend to come with stipulations, such as a schedule or turn around time.  They don’t offer the ability to do as much work as you can without some kind of end time frame to them.  There will be some kind of deadline involved.  They will also come with a set payment amount.  Meaning if you are going to do several hours of work then they are paying you at a specific rate, just to give you a few differences to go on.

Reliable work at home, when done with a legitimate company or provider is rewarding.  You will truly enjoy the work and you won’t have to worry about someone taking your money.

So I’m sure you are curious to find out what I came up with.  Well let me not keep you waiting any longer.  I’ll go ahead and spill.  I found some pretty good options out there in the work at home sites that I came across.  These sites aren’t like the free lance sites that I’ve come across.  They are however, really good sites. They provide great sources to find work at home jobs such as those found for companies that need clerical assistance, or data entry.  The sites that I found even offered work at home opportunities that were for specific fields.  Fields such as web design, web building, as well as accounting and editing can be found.  There are tons of businesses that are willing to pay for individuals to work from home and they are willing to pay decent money for it.

I found information on one company that was willing to allow the employee to telecommute around schedules that worked better from them instead of being available at times that the company was actually transacting business.  And I think that that is one of the beauties when you find work at home sites.  This provides you with the luxury of working from the comforts of your own home as well as making a decent income.

There are some businesses that will also ask you to come in at least once a week.  These types of businesses will actually cover your expenses to come in and see them.  They tend to use work at home sites or companies to get their work out to competent individuals that can complete their task for them. Some of the companies that act as a doorway into these companies may work more like agencies.  The nice thing about working through an agency sometimes is that they don’t require anything from you other than to sign up with them.  When one job is finished they’re there to help you find another and another.

So if you find good work at home sites with agencies or companies, go for it.  You more than likely won’t be disappointed.

First thing you need to be aware of is that there are tons and tons of scams out there.  There are people who don’t really care about your hard earned money, or the fact that you are trying to earn a decent living.  They are simply there to take advantage of you.  So you have to be smart about finding work at home.  This is probably the most important thing to put in my work at home guide for you.  If you are mindful that there are scams around, then you will make cautious choices and informed decisions.

Then you want to be aware of the fact that no real work at home opportunity is going to charge you to do their work.  That’s right those date entry at home jobs that say things like make anywhere from $150 to $500 a day working from home doing data entry for a small fee of $150+? Yeah those are probably one of the biggest scams around.  You see legitimate date entry work isn’t interested in your money.  They are interested in outsourcing their work to you.  They are interested in paying you for an honest days or several hours’ worth of work.  These sites that ask you to sign up and pay to get the work, their interests are your money.  They are looking to make their income off of you.  And you can bet your savings, that you aren’t going to get anything in return but the run around.  Oh sure, you say, they offer a money back guarantee, so they have to be legit.  Guess again, when you try to collect your money back, they have disappeared.  Their phone number either rings or the number is out of service, the website is gone or is unavailable.

So being careful and diligent in doing your own research is very important.  My other work at home guide item is that you cross-reference anything that seems too good to be true.  If they are offering an unbelievable job for a price or you read the information and something just doesn’t seem right, look them up.  Check them out on sites like the Better Business Bureau or Ripoffreport.com or even Google them to see if they come up with scam ratings.  This way you only get involved in legitimate work at home experiences and nothing more.  This has been my work at home guide to help you.  Many, many happy job findings to you.
