Direct Selling Success, Three Keys To Unlock The Income
Direct selling may be the vehicle for you to use, if you are looking for more income, or a change in career.
What exactly is direct selling?
It is the marketing of a product or service directly to the consumer outside of a retail business.
A direct selling company may train its sales people to use techniques such as, cold calling, and seminars to prospect for potential customers and to make the final sale.
Direct selling has changed throughout the years. I can remember when I was a youngster the Fuller Brush man coming to our home so that my mother could purchase her latest brush, cleaner, or home product. Back then, the Fuller Brush salesman would cold call for potential customers by knocking on doors, and hopefully show his products, and possibly make a sale.
Gone are the days of the direct selling salesman cold calling and knocking on doors. Now, the majority of direct selling companies are Network Marketing companies, or MLM (Multi-level Marketing). These companies market their products and services through a network of individuals who are motivated by the opportunity to create an income by having other like motivated individuals market the products as well.
The concept here is in the sharring of the product or service. The days of the hard selling, snake oil salesman have been replaced by a casual meeting between the direct seller and his or her prospect. With the intention of introducing the product.
Over the years MLM companies have taken a bad wrap. Many were, and are being called illegal, and rip-offs. It’s true that some of these companies have not been fair and honest, but just like anything else, it is unfair to categorize all direct selling companies as being corrupt.
The beauty of network marketing is the residual and passive income you receive.
Residual income is income that comes to you continually after the sale has been made.
Passive income is the income that comes to you from your down line members.
As your down line grows, the more passive income you receive. Residual or passive income requires no maintenance. This means that unlike owning rental property where a person receives passive income, they still must maintain the building. With dir

If you are interested in direct selling, here are three keys to a potential large income.
Know the Company
The right direct selling company can create a steady stream of income.
However, like everything else, there are the good, the bad and the ugly. Direct selling companies are no different.
If you are interested in working with one, you must do your due diligence.
Investigate the many companies that offer a product or service that you would like to sell. The best way to do this is by talking with the high-income earners of those companies. By doing a Google search you can find out who those people are.
By talking with them, you will get fair and honest answers about the company. If you want to be successful, you must talk to the best.
Be careful when researching a network marketing company on the Internet. Many people know nothing about how direct selling companies work, yet they have nothing better to do than post negative comments about them on forums and blogs.
There are also ex direct selling individuals, who simply did not work at building their business, or they failed to follow the proven track records of a company, so they failed, they then blame the company and post bad comments on the Internet.
This is why it is important to speak with the successful people in each company.
If you do your due diligence on these direct selling companies, and you find the right one, it could change your life forever.
Be Excited About the Product
If you are not excited about the product or service you are selling, you will fail.
Over the years, I’ve seen many gifted people fail in direct selling. They failed for many reasons. However, most failed because they were not enthusiastic about their product.
You can have the best company and the best trainer to guide you, but if you are not excited to talk about your product then all of the good training will not help you.
Be A Copycat
Once you decide on a direct selling company, the best way to get to the large income is to copy the best direct seller in your organization, and do exactly as he or she did.
The high income, direct selling individuals became high earners because they did exactly as they were taught to do. They followed their training to a point to where they ate, and slept the lessons taught. They mirrored their trainer’s actions, and they became successful because of that.
After all, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Why change what works to be a success in direct selling. Be a copycat, be excited about the product, and you will be on your way to an amazing life.
