Now this is a topic that is near and dear to me. You see I’m a freelancer myself. It’s what I do. And I would encourage anyone who can to do any sort of freelance work at home. So you are probably asking how this freelance thing works. Well let me share with you a little insight into being a freelancer at home.
Now for starters if you have a specialty or you can provide a specific service that does not require moving an actual physical product, you can do this. When I say that I mean most freelancers provide a clerical or support type service. The services that they render are all attained, transported and utilize via some kind of electronic system. Systems such as the internet or through some types of programming but mainly through the internet.
You will find that for most of the freelance work at home you would do better to sign up with different freelance companies. You will basically advertise your services and then you begin to bid for work. Now what does that mean to bid for freelance work at home? You need to bear in mind that you are not the only freelancer with your specialty out there, so there is some competition for jobs. As a matter of fact even those individuals with really high skills and years of experience sometimes lose out to individuals with lesser skills and experience.
If you are one of those individuals who are fortunate enough to get 80% of your bids, then be prepared to have return service. When you do an excellent job as a freelancer your clients tend to be loyal. And when I say loyal I mean they come back to you first for their projects, you know repeat business. Now that is a freelancers dream. To be able to have freelance work at home that is steady is a real good thing. Especially with the economy being the way it is.
If I had to encourage anyone to do freelance work at home, I would most definitely be happy to do so. I can say with all honesty that I truly enjoy the work that I do. And the best thing about it is that I enjoy every client that I come in contact with. I haven’t had a client yet that I’m not happy with or who hasn’t been happy with me. My motto is, “If I give them my best, they’ll give me their best”.
